Try Scuba
This is your first contact with the world of diving. It will allow you to breathe underwater and experience the pleasure of staying underwater (almost) without limitation. At the end of the session, an electronic recognition card will be added to your profile. The Try Scuba programme is available in a standard swimming pool (1 hour - Le Triton in Evere), in the Némo 33 pool in Uccle (1 hour) or in the Todi diving aquarium in Beringen (2 hours).
The maximum depth reached during a Try Scuba session is 5 metres.
Scuba Diver
If you don't have time to do a full course, the Scuba Diver course (3 pool sessions and 2 outdoor dives) will allow you to dive in an outdoor environment under the supervision of a diving professional. At the end of the course, you will be certified as a Scuba Diver. A few additional sessions will allow you to become an Open Water Diver.
Open Water Diver
This internationally recognised course opens the door to the world of diving. Six pool sessions and four outdoor dives will allow you to master your body and equipment underwater. Your certification will allow you to dive to a depth of 18 metres.
Advanced Open Water Diver
The SSI Advanced Open Water Diver course is designed to develop the skills and confidence of divers who want to take their diving further. With a choice of five specialities, such as deep diving, navigation, perfect buoyancy or night diving, the programme allows you to explore new environments while improving your technical skills. Supervised by professionals, each module combines theory and practical experience to enhance safety and autonomy. This advanced level opens the door to more underwater adventures and is an essential step in the progression of the passionate diver.
Speciality Diver
The SSI Speciality Diver is the first step towards becoming an SSI Master Diver. You can start preparing for it as soon as you are certified as an Open Water Diver. You must have completed 2 specialities of your choice and have made a minimum of 12 dives to receive the ‘SSI Speciality Diver’ certification.
Advanced Speciality Diver
The SSI Advanced Speciality Diver is the next certification level. You must complete 4 specialities of your choice and have logged at least 24 dives in MydiveSSI to automatically obtain the SSI Advanced Speciality Diver certification.
Master Diver
The SSI Master Diver certification is the final step in the recreational diver ladder. To achieve it, you must complete 4 specialities of your choice and, in addition, the Rescue Diver speciality. In addition to your 5 specialities, you must have 50 dives logged in your digital logbook to automatically receive the SSI Master Diver digital recognition card.
Extended Range Nitrox Diving
This certification prepares you to perform decompression dives to a depth of 40 metres. Decompression can be performed with Nitrox containing 50% oxygen. The programme can be completed with a single (high capacity) cylinder or a twin cylinder.
